In December we’re taking part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge to raise funding to bring our transformational Hero’s Journey life coaching programme to more young people in prison.
The Christmas Challenge is a match-funding campaign, meaning for seven days (12pm 29 November to 12pm 6 December) donations made via our Big Give fundraising page will be doubled – up to £70,000!
Months after Covid-19 restrictions lifted for the general population, many prisoners are still spending most of their days in their cells. Limited access to rehabilitation programmes means young people in prison have fewer opportunities post-release and many have lost hope. These young people need support to realise their potential and build a positive future.
Our Hero’s Journey programme, currently operating in three prisons/Young Offenders Institutions (YOIs) in London and the Southeast, empowers young people with the skills and mindset needed to build a future that excites them, away from crime.
Funding raised in this year’s Christmas Challenge will help us to bring Hero’s Journey to more prisons and YOIs, including beyond London, supporting more young people to overcome challenges and construct a positive life after prison.
You can pledge now to support us during the Christmas Challenge, and we’ll be in touch when the campaign opens to collect your donation.
Completing this form does not mean that you have donated. It simply lets us know that you are committing to donate when the campaign begins on 29 November.
My coach helped me come up with ways to deal with things and ways to view things, like how I reacted to stuff and how I saw situations. It sounds like a cliche, but every area of my life, he’s sat down and helped me realise what I could do better, and I’ve taken that on board.
