This December, we’ll be taking part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge to reach more young people in prison with our transformative coaching programme, the Hero’s Journey.
Money raised will also support our development of a tailored programme designed specifically for young women in custody, whose needs are frequently overlooked.
The Christmas Challenge is a match-funding campaign, meaning for seven days (12pm 1 December to 12pm 8 December) donations made via our Big Give fundraising page will be doubled – up to £80,000!
Hope and opportunities are limited in prison, and young people need support to realise their potential and build positive futures. Our coaching programmes equip young people with the skills and mindset to plan for a meaningful life after prison, enabling them to overcome the issues they face and take control of their future.
“To have such a beautiful connection and conversations, to find such beauty in such a dark place is really special. My coach helped me rediscover the good in me – the stuff I’d forgotten.”
Last year, we reached more young people than ever before, expanding outside of London and the South-East into the Midlands for the first time, and began piloting our groupwork offer for women. To maintain this momentum, we need to reach our ambitious target of £80,000.
“After coming out of prison, Spark Inside continued to support me. [My coach] has been a huge anchor, helping me to understand myself better and figure out my direction.”
You can pledge now to support us during the Christmas Challenge, and we’ll be in touch when the campaign opens to remind you to donate.
Completing this form does not mean that you have donated. It simply lets us know that you are committing to donate when the campaign begins on 1 December.
