HEAD OF FINANCE AND RESOURCES
Spark Inside delivers coaching in prisons across London and the South East. The new post of Head of Finance and Resources will help to build on the success of Spark Inside by leading on corporate services and, as part of the Senior Manager Team, developing initiatives to improve income growth and organisational effectiveness. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified, or part-qualified accountant with experience of delivering projects in a senior role.
Core responsibilities
- Lead the organisation as a member of the SMT, developing and implementing strategic plans to achieve organisational aims
- Lead responsibility for all of the organisations financial management and administration
- Lead responsibility for ensuring HR systems, IT and back office functions are efficient and enhance the delivery of services
Essential requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) or part-qualified with a clear plan for achieving full qualification
- Excellent working knowledge of financial issues for charities (e.g. SORP reporting requirements, restricted fund accounting, VAT)
- Experience of managing HR projects
