We are working with parliamentarians and government officials to change criminal justice policy, and improve how society collectively understands prisons. Our policy work takes the power of coaching in our prisons to key decision-makers.
Our policy recommendations are based on the changes that people who live and work in prison want to see; the findings from our independent evaluation reports; and coaching’s global evidence base. As well as this, we submit evidence to government consultations and inquiries; and work closely with various campaigning organisations to change our prison system.
In addition, our advocacy campaigns focus our efforts, with the aim to make real shifts in policy, practice and perception. The current Being Well Being campaign asks that wellbeing support for young men and young Black men in prison be prioritised and tailored to meet their specific needs.
You can find out about the Being Well Being Equal campaign (and add your voice); our published submissions to government inquiries and consultations; the policy papers that we have been recognised in; and our other policy work, below.
