Spark Inside is proud to share a new short film featuring Donell, a young man who embarked on his Hero’s Journey and is now a proud Spark Inside Champion, alongside his Coach, the brilliant Jeffrey Wotherspoon.
They speak personally about their transformative relationship, and how consistency, support and belief has enabled Donell to thrive.
Jeffrey first met Donell aged just fifteen, inside a Young Offender Institution, and encouraged him to join a Hero’s Journey workshop.
Fast forward to today. Donell is out, a twenty-six year old owner of his own plumbing and construction company, a loving partner, and father to a young son. Jeffrey is godfather to his child.
Like many with similar experiences, the path to this point wasn’t linear. Mirroring the steps in the Hero’s Journey, Donell faced tests, ordeals and significant lows as he struggled to build a new life for himself. In the moments that he waivered, Jeffrey didn’t. The stability of his coaching enabled Donell to navigate the challenges he faced.
