After successfully completing five days of rigorous coach training, we have welcomed nine brand new life coaches to the Spark Inside team. Our new coaches will begin delivering the workshops for our structured life coaching programme, Hero’s Journey™, in the next few months, across prisons in London and the South East. The workshops will lead onto one-to-one life coaching sessions with the young people in prison and through the gates, to ultimately create change in their lives.
Expertly designed by our award-winning programme creator, Lola Fayemi, and one of our long-serving life coaches Naina Oliver, the training begins with the coaches taking part in a Hero’s Journey™ workshop themselves, to see the experiential process and understand the model’s seven steps.
The training ended with our new coaches delivering Hero’s Journey™ in full, back to our two coach trainers. The next step in our new coaches’ journey is to attend a two-day masterclass in youth coaching, after which, they will be ‘buddied-up’ with our existing cohort of exceptional coaches, as they begin their vital work in prisons.
Our new coaches had this to say about their first Spark Inside experience:
“This training experience has been highly impactful and enjoyable. Great people, thought-provoking material and so many insights! Can’t wait to use it in the field and become a better coach. Proud to be associated with Spark Inside.”
“I really liked the five days we spent together. I’ve learned a lot about life coaching and myself. I met a group of fantastic people and trainers. Thank you so much!”
“I love that the training supports me to be really me!”
